Una carta de Navidad

Querida y adorada familia en Cristo

Han habido muchos cambios este año para nuestra familia. Nuestra amada hija de 17 años quedó con ceguera y parálisis luego de ser atropellada por un conductor ebrio al regresar a casa luego de la misa del miércoles por la noche. La tía Polly murió de cáncer al hígado, luego de una larga y dolorosa enfermedad. El gato de la familia fue atropellado por un camión de UPS. La esclerosis múltiple de la tía Mábel se está poniendo peor y ya casi no puede hacer nada por sí misma. Papá tuvo una operación al corazón de bypass triple, y ahora usa un tubo para respirar. La casa se incendió debido a unas chispas que saltaron cuando estábamos quemando libros de Harry Potter en nuestro jardín. El pequeño Marvin se atoró con un hueso de pollo durante el picnic de la iglesia y tuvo que ser llevado al hospital, donde los doctores tuvieron que operarle las cuerdas bucales, de tal forma que ya no puede hablar, pero Dios lo salvó milagrosamente. Miranda está ahora siendo educada en casa luego de dejar el segundo año de secundaria para convertirse en madre soltera. Un aborto no fue considerado como opción, y sabemos que Dios nos ha dado un nieto hidrocefálico por una perfecta razón. Nuestro hijo mayor perdió un pie durante una emboscada en Iraq, mientras trataba de ayudar a llevar a Cristo y a la democracia a esos pobres herejes. Nos alegramos en la sabiduría de nuestro Dios, en Sus dones y en Su plan para nuestras vidas. Somos testigos agradecidos de todo lo que nuestro gran y misericordioso Dios ha hecho por nosotros en el año que ha pasado, y adoramos lo que viene de Su mano. Oh, casi lo olvidamos. El perro murió.

A Christmas Letter

Dearest Beloved of Our Family in Christ,

There have been many changes this year for our family. Our beloved 17 year old daughter suffered blindness and paralysis after being struck by a drunk driver on her way home from Wednesday night church services. Aunt Polly died of liver cancer, following a long and painful illness. The family cat was smashed by a UPS truck. Mabel’s M.S. is getting worse and she can hardly do anything much anymore. Father had to have a triple bypass operation, and now uses a breathing tube. The house was burned down by sparks from the burning of Harry Potter books in our yard. Little Marvin got a chicken bone stuck in his throat at a church picnic and was rushed to the hospital where doctors had to remove his voice box, so he can never talk again, but God miraculously saved him. Miranda is now being home schooled after she left eighth grade to become a single mother. An abortion was out of the question, and we know God has given us a hydrocephalic grandchild for his own good and perfect reasons. Our oldest son had his left foot blown off in an ambush in Iraq while helping to bring Christ and Democracy to those poor heathens. We rejoice in the wisdom of our God, in His gifts, and in His plan for our lives. We bear grateful witness to all that our great and merciful God has done for us in the past year, and we praise the works of His hand. Oh, almost forgot. The dog died.

La iglesia católica quería beatificar a Pio XII. ¿Que quién es? Este tipo fue papa durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, aquel que se llevaba bastante bien con Hitler.




De acuerdo a la iglesia católica "el proceso de beatificación evaluó la "vida cristiana" de Pio, quien reinó desde 1939 a 1958, y no "el impacto histórico de sus decisiones operativas".

O sea, puedes ser indiferente a ver judíos siendo encarcelados y asesinados y aun ser elegible para ser un modelo de "vida cristiana"

Creo que eso lo resume bastante bien, ¿no?

Algunos líderes judíos protestaron, pero la iglesia católica declaró que esta decisión "de ninguna forma debe ser vista como un acto de hostilidad hacia la comunidad Judía, y se espera que no sea considerado un obstáculo en el camino del diálogo entre el judaísmo y la iglesia católica"

Yo difiero. A mí me parece un acto de hostilidad hacia la inteligencia humana. Habiendo tantos Papas muertos ¿Por qué este? Era una mancha en la historia del Vaticano de este siglo y tal vez habría sido incorrecto juzgar a todos los Papas por los errores de este. ¿Peor beatificarlo?

Increíble. Pero de eso se trata la fe, ¿no es cierto? El creer lo increíble, aun cuando es insensato, autoritario y estúpido

En fin, estos son sus 12 días antes de la navidad. Espero los hayan disfrutado. En menos de una hora será Navidad en esta parte del mundo. Y si la celebran, siempre recuerden los verdaderos orígenes de esta.

Vatican Defends Status of WWII Pope

So, the catholic church wanted to start the beatification process for Pius XII. Who was that guy? He was the Pope during WWII, the same who was in very good terms with Hitler.




According to the catholic church "the beatification process evaluated the “Christian life” of Pius, who reigned from 1939 to 1958, and not “the historical impact of all his operative decisions."

So, you may see nothing wrong in rounding and killing jews and still be chosen as a model of "Christian Life".

That pretty much sums it up.

Some Jewish leaders protested, but the catholic church declared that this decision “is in no way to be read as a hostile act towards the Jewish people, and it is to be hoped that it will not be considered as an obstacle on the path of dialogue between Judaism and the Catholic Church.”

I beg to differ. I see this as a hostile act towards human intelligence. There are many other dead Popes, why this one? It was a dark spot in the Vatican's history and it would have been wrong to blame the whole church for this pope's action. But to give him beatitude status?

Unbelievable. But that's what faith is about, right? To believe the unbelievable, even when it is also nonsensical, undemocratic and stupid.



So, these were your 12 days before Christmas. I hope you enjoyed them. It will be Christmas in an hour (most of the world already has Christmas). But remember, if you celebrate Christmas, you ought to know the real origins.

La Iglesia mexicana llama "aberración" a la aprobación del matrimonio gay


Era predecible. Hace unos días la Ciudad de Mexico aprobó una ley que permitiría a parejas del mismo sexo contraer matrimonio. Por supuesto, no iba a pasar mucho hasta que la iglesia católica mexicana salieron a condenar tal cosa.

Considerando todo lo que está mal con Mexico y que hace sufrir a los mexicanos, la iglesia católica mexicana se centra en el matrimonio homosexual, como si fuese una gran amenaza para su sociedad. El Cardenal Norberto Rivas declaró:

"Esta ley ha abierto las puertas a una perversa posibilidad para que estas parejas puedan adoptar a niños inocentes, a quienes no se les respetará el derecho a tener una familia constituida por una madre y un padre, con los consecuentes daños psicológicos y morales que provocará tal injusticia y arbitrariedad. Tal pretensión no es más que soberbia e inevitablemente llevará a la sociedad a la ruina, lo cual nos preocupa hondamente"

Este cardinal está solamente equivocado. Este cardenal es un imbécil. Si fuese cualquier persona su equivocación estaría justificada en lo poco que conoce. Pero estamos hablando de alguien con los medios para educarse, pero que prefiere seguir en creyendo en sus propios prejuicios y estereotipos basados en el odio que inculca la iglesia católica.

En primer lugar, de acuerdo, a la American Psychological Association (un grupo de científicos que se basan en hechos y estudios en lugar de fe) "identidad sexual y de género (incluyendo orientación de género, comportamiento de roles de género y orientación sexual) se desarrolla en la mayor parte en la misma forma entre los hijos de parejas lesbianas como de parejas heterosexuales. Aun hay pocos estudios en cuanto a los hijos de parejas gay". En otras palabras, los hijos de parejas lesbianas se desarrollan similarmente a los de padres "normales". Y como hay pocos estudios en cuanto a hijos de padres gay, lo lógico es permanecer agnóstico en cuanto al asunto. Sin embargo, la iglesia católica prefiere seguir sus leyes y creencias arcaicas en contra de los homosexuales. Ignorancia, arrogancia y estupidez, todo en uno.

En segundo lugar, el cardenal dice que tal decisión arruinará a la sociedad. No se ha visto que tal cosa suceda en los Paises Bajos, Bélgica, Canadá, España, Noruega, Suecia y Sudafrica. Por el contrario, países que demonizan la homosexualidad (como Iran) tienen una sociedad aquejada por grandes problemas. Pero la iglesia católica prefiere voltear la cara y no ver los hechos.

En tercer lugar, el cardenal dice preocuparse por los niños. Sí, en cierta forma tendrán algunos problemas, especialmente en una sociedad con gran influencia católica, la cual demoniza y ridiculiza la homosexualidad. La iglesia católica es la que causa el problema, para luego culpar a la víctima.

Yo apoyo el matrimonio homosexual porque los homosexuales tienen el mismo derecho que yo tengo a casarme con quien amo.

Yo apoyo el matriomoio homosexual porque no lo considero peligroso, pues yo no ir♪ a casarme con otro hombre o a volverme homosexual

Yo apoyo el matrimonio homosexual porque quiero que mis hijos crezcan en una sociedad con igualdad para todos, en la cual nadie sea discriminado.

Yo apoyo el matrimonio homosexual porque usualmente quienes se le oponen han tenido el poder basándose en el miedo y la supersitición

The Mexican church says gay marriage is an "aberration"

It was predictable. Some days ago Mexico City approved a law that would allow gays to get married. Of course it would be long until the Mexican catholic church, very powerful in that country, would say something condemning the approval of such a law.

Considering all that is wrong in Mexico and that makes the Mexican people suffer, the Mexican catholic church aims at gay marriage, as if it were a huge threat to that country. Cardinal Norberto Rivera said:

"This law has opened the doors to the perverted possibility that these couples might adopt innocent children, who will not have their right to have a family formed by a mother and a father, with the following consequences as psychological and moral damage that would provoke such injustice. Such pretension is no more than pride and it will inevitably will lead society to its ruin, which concerns us enormously.

This cardinal is not just wrong. This guy is an idiot. If he were just some lay person who has no more knowledge than what he has just seen in his life he would just be wrong. But because he has the means to learn, but instead chooses to remain an ignorant following his own biases and stereotypes, he is an idiot.

First of all, according to the American Psychological Association (a group of scientists who rely on facts and studies instead of faith) "sexual and gender identities (including gender identity, gender-role behavior, and sexual orientation) develop in much the same way among children of lesbian mothers as they do among children of heterosexual parents. Few studies are available regarding children of gay fathers." In other words, children of lesbian couples have very little difference to those of heterosexual parents. And since there is no enough regarding children of gay parents, we can and should remain agnostic about this. But the catholic church keeps following its laws and outdated beliefs against gays. Ignorance, arrogance and stupidity, all in one.

Second, the Cardinal says that this decision would ruin the society. I haven't seen that happening in the Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, Spain, Norway, Sweden, and South Africa. On the contrary, countries that outlaw and demonize homosexuality (such as Iran) have a lot of problems in their society. But the catholic church doesn't want to see that.

Third, the cardinal is concerned about the children. Yes, they might have some problems, especially in a society with a huge catholic influence, which demonizes and ridicules homosexuality. The catholic church is the one causing the problem and then blames the victim .

I support gay marriage because gays should have the same right I have to marry the person I love.

I support gay marriage because I don't find it threatening, since I will not marry another man or become gay.

I support gay marriage because I want my children to grown in a society with equal rights for everyone, in which no one is discriminated.

I support gay marriage because it is usually opposed by those who have hold the power on the basis of fear and superstition. Yes, I mean the churches.
